Interpolations 1980/81
With time between two large projects, turning my attention to different materials and a smaller scale was appealing.
The multiple layers of muslin buff pads (4 to 6 inches in diameter) demanded something more, and offered space for improvisation.
I provided that by introducing a variety of foreign elements:
fraying
price tags
buttons
hardware
tooth picks
linen thread
rubber jar gaskets
color or silver paper clips
telephone wire
Each piece, numbered and signed went into its own muslin bag.
